Datanational has an entry-level position open for a Trainee interested in the Information Technology field. This position has been created to meet with our growth requirements as we expand our System Hosting and Management Services business. No experience is required, but a technical aptitude is a must.

Basic knowledge of PC operation is required. Our interview process will include an aptitude test. You can think of this position as similar to a caregiver at a daycare center, except that you will be watching multi-platform computer systems. Job Responsibilities will include actively signing into systems, watching for system messages, checking off task items, monitoring emails and answering system emergency phone calls. You must possess good oral and written communication skills to interface with our Technical Support Staff.

You will provide second and/or third shift active monitoring of systems. You will follow a standard system operations checklist and create entries into system logs similar to a spreadsheet. You must be available to work weekends and holidays. After the initial training period which will require some in-office training, almost all work can be performed remotely from your own home. You will be provided with state-of-the-art communications equipment in order to remotely watch our computer systems. You will be required to maintain your own high-speed internet connection at your home. Reliable transportation is also required.
