Job description

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Coordinator for a growing team at a manufacturing and distribution company in Riverview, Florida. American Builders Supply is Florida’s largest independent supplier of lumber, truss, doors and windows. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Clermont, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa, Fort Myers, & Ocala.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

· Apply customer payments

· Research short payments, unapplied payments, credits, returns, and back-charges

· Keep account clean and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

· Work with internal/external customers

· Visit customers portal/websites

· Track & resolve outstanding payment issues

· Make collection calls when necessary

· Maintain accurate aging schedules

· Assist other team members as needed

Required Education, Knowledge and Skills, Certifications:

· Undergraduate degree preferred, but not required

· Requires 2-5 years of related experience, preferably in a construction/building environment

· Requires good people skills, with experience in working with senior and mid-level managers

· Great Plains Dynamics or Bistrack experience a plus

· Proficient in Excel. Can work with large data sets for example pivot tables

· Knowledge of general accounting principals

· Must be able to set and prioritize daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to complete work assignments within specified timelines or in a timely manner

· Be flexible at certain times of the month when workload is heavy

· Can communicate effectively

· Must have exceptional organizational skills
