Become a member of a highly skilled team of technical writers responsible for creating and maintaining safety critical Aerospace repair instructions while learning Standard Generalized Markup Language (SGML), Simplified Technical English and writing to Aerospace standards.

What you will be doing

• Receive training in SGML, Simplified Technical English, Illustration, Aerospace writing formats and software, Woodward products and the creation of repair instruction manuals (i.e. Component Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Revisions,…)
• Creating or maintaining aerospace repair instruction manuals
• Working with a cross functional extended team of engineers, technicians, illustrators and other writers
• Participate in continuous improvement activities to advance our technology and leadership in technical writing

What We Are Looking For

• 2 year technical degree in related field (i.e. English or Engineering Technology) or 4 year liberal arts degree with a technical emphasis is desired, but a combination of experience in technical writing and education can be substituted.
• A high school diploma, General Equivalency Degree (GED) or equivalent required.

This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR and EAR, or possess all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State Department and the U.S. Department of Commerce.
