The School District of Reedsburg is looking for a Special Education Paraprofessional to assist the teacher (under direct supervision) in the instruction and supervision of students, some with disabilities. The paraprofessional may work with students in small groups, large groups or individually. May be asked to help with routine clerical tasks and to help maintain a friendly, helpful, comfortable school climate. Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, teachers, principals, and co-workers.

In order to be qualified, a paraprofessional must hold a high school diploma and have completed two years of post-secondary education (48 credits) or an associate's degree or have met a rigorous standard of quality and be able to demonstrate knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics by taking and passing the ParaPro Assessment Test.

Must have good communication skills; ability to take instruction for students; able to follow directions; ability to work harmoniously with students, teachers and other employees; respectful of confidential information.
