Position Summary:

Finger Lakes Premier Properties and the Keuka College Grounds Facilities Dept. is looking for a responsible Housekeeper to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for a custodian, or janitor, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises, as well as preventing vandalism.

It is the responsibility of the Housekeeper to support Finger Lakes Premier Properties’ goals to protect and maintain our client’s facilities, by providing superior property cleanliness and customer service, and to maintain a professional image at all times. Housekeepers are responsible for ensuring all established cleaning procedures and guidelines are followed; maintains a consistent, high quality cleaning service. Delivers personalized service that attends to our client’s needs, and meets or exceeds all service standards.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian/housekeeper role focused on building upkeep. They will have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensures spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfaces
• Sweeps and mops floors/stairs and vacuum carpets
• Washes and sanitizes toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
• Wipes mirrors and windows to ensure no finger prints or smudges are visible
• Documents and reports all maintenance and safety concerns to the Operations Manager in a timely manner
• Ability to work within a team
• Adheres to company dress code and wears appropriate attire at all times
• Provides set up and clean up for events
• Strips and waxes tile flooring at the request of the client
• Performs thorough top to bottom cleaning at the request of the client

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
