The Senior Manufacturing Technician position will build various sophisticated scientific instruments to support the production goals of a work cell. Be part of an engaging team and collaborate with your colleagues to take on problems and drive continuous improvement!
A Day in the Life:
- Build, test, and calibrate all levels of assemblies and install in the final build of instruments that meet quality standards while consistently meeting productivity goals.
- Follow work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies, material handling, and inventory verification.
- Trained in multiple areas of production cell and able to troubleshoot technical issues
- Communicates effectively with team members and other support functions. Contributes to a positive work environment.
Keys to Success:
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or production environment.
- Proven experience with mechanical assembly, various hand tools and soldering.
- Demonstrated prior success as a trainer and peer leader
- May require exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 25 frequently and up to 10 constantly to move objects.
