Position Description

Advertised Job Summary
The Fellow will work with the Principal Investigator/Associate Dean for Research on grant activities for grant, Peer Coaching for Physical Activity Promotion among Breas Cancer Survivors: Adapting an Efficacious Intervention to Prepare for Implementation, and other research related activities.

Assis PI in coordination of assessment and intervention studies on exercise promotion, to include: training of community volunteers who will deliver an exercise program, oversee exercise assessments, data collection, managing data sets, statistical analyses, and supervising students engaged in the study.

Assis with supplemental research projects such as mapping behavior change techniques in physical activity interventions.

Contribute to scholarly works acceptable for presentation or publication in scientific venues and to grants to help support research.

Assist the Associate Dean for Research with other research-related tasks.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate in Psychology, Nursing, Public Health, Exercise Science, or other behavioral science is required.

Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience with management and analysis of complex datasets and statistical analyses.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge and experience with exercise assessments, data collection, managing data sets and statistical analyses. Ability to communicate clearly, verbally, and in writing, with all constituents of the College of Nursing. Strong interpersonal skills sufficient to inspire, lead, and work effectively with diverse groups. Excellent problem solving skills with proven ability to strategize, prioritize, and multi-task to meet goals and deadlines. Understanding and support of the research mission of the College of Nursing. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality. Ability to interpret and apply rules and regulations. Ability to manage work and provide guidance to employees. Ability to make presentations and prepare reports.
