Working Conditions

Full time – plus hours

Monday-Friday (available Saturday and Sunday)

Hours will vary day to day

Purpose

Overseeing the day to day operations of the facility. Being able to uphold the standards of the Vista Springs mission at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensuring exceptional care and customer service to our residents.
  • Problem solver to staff and residents
  • Maintaining budget while showing a profit and planning strategic goals.
  • Marketing and establish networking relationships
  • Care conferences
  • Family council meetings
  • Resident assessments
  • Overseeing community member admissions and discharges.
  • Working with a Health and Wellness Officer to provide quality care to residents.
  • Maintaining state regulations
  • Attending all staff and corporate meetings
  • Developing systems, policies and procedures.
  • MOD Rotation

Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Computer skills
  • Housekeeping
  • Maintenance and safety
  • Kitchen helper
  • Resident care
  • Activities
  • Interviewing new staff members
  • Involved with staff members on progressive discipline

Supervisor Responsibilities

In charge of all staff in the facility. Work daily with the department heads

Educational Requirements

Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of state and federal regulations for an assisted living environment.

Certificates, licenses, registrations

Certified Assisted Living Administrator Exam. Maintaining continuing education requirements. First aid and CPR requirements. Registered nurse preferred.

Work Experience

Five years of management skills required. Have prior experience working in an assisted living environment as well as had some geriatrics, dementia and Alzheimer’s training.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret state documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with one-on-one or in groups such as customers, vendors, staff, residents and family members. Must be able to speak, read and write basic English skills.

Physical Demands

Lift up to 25 lbs. required to assist with such things as: occasional resident care, moving of office equipment, furniture needs, etc. Some traveling and walking are required on a day –to day basis.

Additional Information

Time management skills, multi-tasking, define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 40% travel required.
