Responsibilities & Duties:
- Preform diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance of laboratory equipment that require little or low level of complexity accordingly.
- Assist the Biomedical Services Technicians and the Supervisor in equipment installations and repairs.
- Calibrate and certify equipment of little complexity.
- Contact the customer to obtain information about the problem with the equipment.
- Submit the service sheet (ISO) completed, when each service is completed.
- Study and read the equipment manuals constantly in order to be trained on them.
- Participate in the required training, take your notes, study the material and reach the level of mastery required to provide the service of the expected quality.
- Ensure that your interactions with the client are professional, courteous and helpful at all times.
- Complete a requisition indicating the parts and tools needed for the service. Dispatch them if necessary.
- Carry out equipment installation and removal tasks inside and outside the company's facilities for meetings, training sessions and conventions, as delegated.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar field, or a Associate's Degree in biomedical equipment repair or equivalent.
- Minimum experience of one year providing customer service and at least 120 hours of practice performing tasks similar to those of the Biomedical Services Base Technician.
- Must have a valid driver's license and passport.
- Knowledge and proficiency with the Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish
- Ability to relate to people at all hierarchical levels.
- Ability to identify and set priorities.
- Great attention to detail, ability to detect errors or omissions
- Excellent customer service skills and professional projection.
- Physical demands include when it is necessary to reach, push, pull and/or carry over 50 pounds.
- Availability to work holidays, weekends, irregular hours and overtime.
- Availability to travel within and outside of Puerto Rico.
