Summary: The individual in this position is responsible for providing administrative and clerical services, and general office support to ensure effective and efficient operations of the Chamber. Public relations and communication with the public are key to this role. Must be able to work flexible hours and be able to occasionally travel for meetings.

Part-Time: 15 hours per week, 4 of the hours will be required in our Chamber Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Membership

· Recruits new business to organization with an annual goal of $10,000 in renewing memberships and a 5% increase in new members.

· Receives and processes membership applications.

· Sets up and maintains membership database.

· Prepares all welcome letters, new member packets and coordinates with the President for new member packet deliveries.

Office Operation

· Administers all workflow within the Chamber operations to include daily administrative regimens, meeting notices, schedules for activities and special events.

· Process all mail and email communications including invitations, announcements, meetings, and events.

· Establishes and maintains filing system encompassing areas relative to incoming and outgoing correspondence regarding contracts, events, advertising, etc.

· Updates, orders and ensures adequate level of office supplies, brochures, other information and promotional materials.

Communications/Web Page/Social Media

· Maintains and updates website and social media with current information.

· Drafts and distributes press releases and articles for the media as directed by the President.

· Attends various business, government and service activities throughout Northwest Ohio representing the Delta Chamber.

Financial

· Collects incoming monies and invoices to give to the treasurer.

· Maintains petty cash account and provide monthly accounting to the treasurer.

· Manages credit card machine for processing, organizes reporting for credit card machine and provides monthly updates to treasurer.

Committees/Events

· Serves on chamber committees and provides support to offers/board as needed.

· Obtains committee reports from Chairperson.

· Coordinates location, times, menu and notices for monthly meetings.

· Coordinates and promotes Ribbon Cutting events for new business or organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

· 2-3 years experience in a Chamber of Commerce, professional association, non-profit organization or private/public organization

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
