The Workday Payroll and Time Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining Workday in the functional area of Payroll and Time. This position serves as a point of contact and subject matter expert for Workday. This is skilled in functional Workday but trained in technical workday. Must have an understanding of functional payroll and timekeeping. Able to troubleshoot in development environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Leads/participates in the maintenance of Workday Payroll and Time issues, changes, and fixes
  • Supports Payroll and other departments with report writing/data extraction from Workday Payroll
  • Supports Workday Payroll and Time User Acceptance Testing for break fix, enhancements, and projects.
  • Supports Workday by researching and resolving issues, testing solutions, and communicating resolution to internal customers
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots errors utilizing resources such as Workday Community to drive resolutions and identify root cause
  • Creates and updates documentation and training/quick reference guides for manual system adjustments and modifications
  • Train payroll staff on Workday Payroll and Time administration as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Job Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology – related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Workday configuration and administration
  • Workday Pro certification(s) – Payroll and Time Modules
  • Advanced Workday Reporting Payroll and Time
  • Other Workday HCM Expertise and Experience a plus
  • Experience working within the Human Resources and Payroll departments
Experience:
  • 5+ years' experience with Workday payroll and time system configuration and support with strong background in payroll integrations and time reporting.
  • Experience working with external vendors/ERP integrations (examples such as Master Tax, ADP, and SAP)
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability.
  • Experienced collaborating with other business units involved with Workday Payroll and Time processing. (Benefits, LOA, Compensation, Business Operations, Finance, and IT)
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in Workday Reports for Payroll, Payroll Tax and Time Reporting
