Jeffrey A. Miller Catering is hiring an Event Planner Assistant in the our venue areas. Event Planner Assistants support the Event Designers during the events to ensure the event runs flawlessly while being professional.
This is a weekend position and is great for someone looking to learn about becoming an event planner as part-time work.

Duties/ Responsibilities: Be present at events, including party set up, which includes setting up display stations and monitoring all venue equipment during the events. setting up client’s personal inventory per planner décor

• Pack up client’s personal inventory items
• Assisting the event captain, where needed, during parties
• Ensure JAM areas of each venue are neat and clean after parties
• Monitor any problems and report to venue manager
• Assisting the event designer with any other tasks, as needed

Requirements:

• Should have a desire and interest to work in the hospitality field.
• Be able to interact effectively and communicate well with clients and staff.
• Be able to be an independent thinker/worker, while following a checklist of tasks.
• Must be available Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and work 1-2 events per weekend (Events are typically 10-12 hours of work).

- Must be able to stand, walk, lift for long periods of time (10+ hours)

Pay: $150.00 - $300.00 per day
