Role Summary/Purpose:
The Vice President, Credit Product Commercialization will be responsible for providing credit support for the Growth Organization Product Development team. This leader will represent the Credit and Capital Management (CCM) function, lead the credit requirements/design, and coordinate the credit build to drive a faster growth and better execution for SYF and our partners.

Essential Responsibilities:
CCM point of contact for the Growth Organization Product Development team
Collaborate with Product development team and provide credit support.
Collaborate with Product development team and platform stakeholders to structure our SYF product roadmap, develop capabilities & features, identify gaps and outline commercialization game plan
Bring in appropriate CCM subject matter expertise/strategy owners to set product vision, identify business requirements, write user stories, provide credit support from ideation/incubation to build and launch capabilities.
Collaborate with product owners to deliver functionality/features across all 5 platforms.
Lead credit aspects to commercialize new products across all 5 platforms
Lead the product commercialization plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities.
Partner with key stakeholders such as Credit COE strategy teams and product teams to help identify and prioritize ideas/features.
Actively engage in PI (program increment) planning as part of the SAFe framework.
Intensify our commercialization efforts and take a consumer-focused, proactive approach to meeting changing customer expectations and client needs.
Provide credit insight to Growth Organization to assist in the development of innovative value propositions for all product development.
Execute special projects as requested, including gathering/disseminating competitive intelligence, team meeting management.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years in consumer risk management, credit management, or similar role, or in lieu of a bachelor's degree, 8+ years in consumer risk management, credit management, or similar role
5+ years project management experience, preferred in an Agile environment
5+ years in credit products including Account Management, Collections, Authentication and Acquisitions
Minimum of 3 years cross-functional team leadership management experience
Desired Characteristics:
Strong influencing skills in a complex matrix working environment
Strong Program Management, Project Management and/or Business Analyst experience
Experience in the banking/credit card industry
Track record of creative problem solving and ability to thrive in a cross-functional and virtual environment
High energy, self-motivated, with strong communication skills (verbal and written)
Experience with Agile software development framework, acting in the Product Owner role
Experience with SAFe framework
Experience with managing direct reports or through a matrixed environment
Experience working in a dynamic environment
Experience working with a distributed team
Experience working with technology
Grade/Level: 14
The salary range for this position is 115,000.00 - 230,000.00 USD Annual
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
