GS3 Directorate
Our Government Space Services and Solutions (GS3) Directorate is passionate about making America the undisputed leader in the Space Domain because we understand that ensuring our nation’s security for future generations depends on space situational awareness, prototyping and integration, and mission operations support. GS3 represents a highly complex, organization consisting of a cadre of highly skilled engineering and technical personnel to design, develop, integrate, and materially produce and deliver multiple technology capabilities for our DoD and Intel Community customers.
GS3 conducts:
Integrated solutions for space situational awareness operations across a wide customer and stakeholder landscape
Software and integration government service operations to develop and enhance ground command and control (C2) of space assets
Delivery of open, common, cyber-secure tactical satellite C2 services within a resilient ground architecture to provide automation and a common user experience that is critical for battle management between the operational and tactical C2 levels
Conduct of lab operations within government owned facilities to support infrastructure hardware and software support for various tools and process applications
Development of mission software factory solutions to support data access, integration, application, and product dissemination for both multi-domain uses

Responsibilities:
Superior people engagement and management skills

Full P&L management of GS3 operations, including:
The establishment and implementation of operating, financial and strategic objectives
Interacting at the highest levels of the corporate structure to influence, solve complex business issues and drive to solutions while engaging in a high level of constructive collaboration
Develop and lead a high performing team known for exceeding objectives
Strategy
Provide insights, recommendations and support for the overall strategy and vision for GSS, including how to represent our capabilities to our customer base and within our internal organizations
Lead the execution of M&A strategy, including the identification, due diligence participation and integration of acquisitions.
Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities within targeted defense accounts that demonstrates an understanding of technology trends and needs of the clients
New Business Development
In collaboration with the business development team, provide input on and participate in the execution of the organic growth plan including identifying target clients and key executives, leveraging and partnering with the existing customer base
Proactively connect with stakeholders with key customers in order to shape and develop qualified business opportunities
Customer Engagement
Outstanding and ongoing client engagement, demonstrating the ability to effectively diagnose client needs, propose and develop solutions that have a positive business impact
Engages in industry associations
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in science or engineering, M.S. desirable
Strong financial acumen; MBA and/or financial training desirable but not required
Minimum of 12 years of experience with an emphasis on defense business development / growth
Department of defense domain knowledge; with emphasis on Space
Profit and Loss leadership experience
Proven track record of business growth to include re-compete wins and capture of major strategic pursuits
Formation of strategic partnerships
Acquisition integration experience
Demonstrated ability to drive margin expansion
Proven ability to attract and retain leaders and employees
Strong experience with customer and industry relations in defense
TS clearance required with ability to obtain SCI
