MedVet Chicago’s board-certified specialists have extensive post-graduate training in their fields, and like our emergency veterinarians and team, regularly participate in ongoing education to stay current on the latest techniques and treatments. We are looking for:

Veterinary Assistant- Radiology Department

*This is a full-time 1st shift position with a rotating 4 x 10 schedule. Compensation starts at $19.75/hour DOE*

Our radiology department needs to have critical thinking skills, attention to detail and the ability multitask within a strong team environment. This team partners with multiple teams throughout the day, specializing in Radiographs, CT, MRI and Ultrasound. You must be able to drive the MedVet experience of excellent patient care and compassion.

What you’ll do:

• Assist in patient procedures: preparation of patients, instruments, equipment and medications
• Assist with CT Scans, radiographs, and ultrasounds.
• Plan, organize, and manage the daily flow of services
• Drive the MedVet Experience and ensure our patients receive the highest quality care
• Inspire, teach, multitask and be a highly functional team member
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete

Who you are:

The ideal candidate has a minimum of one year of experience in a Veterinary Assistant role. Experience in the veterinary profession is required.

Additional requirements for this position include:

• Prior veterinary experience required, previous radiology or specialty experience desired
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, constant rate infusions, unit conversions, etc.)
• Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
