BASIC FUNCTION

Upholsters outside sections of chairs and sofas, utilizing knowledge of upholstery materials and methods

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Must have the ability to read and interpret production tickets.

• Ability to use all common upholstery tools to perform traditional outside upholstery of leather and fabric furniture of various styles.

• Must maintain high quality standards while achieving production goals.

• Permanently attaches the fabric with staples.

• Repeats the process above on each component until the piece is completed.

• Places finish unit to the side for cell assembler to move to the next location.

• Exercises care and follows the proper safety procedures to prevent injuries to themselves and their co-workers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Three years experience in outside upholstery desirable

• Must have experience using upholstery tools such as: Scissors, Pneumatic Staple Guns, Staple Removers, and Regulators.

• Detail oriented
