Travel Nurse (RN) PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Emerald Health Services is hiring a Travel RN - PICU
Shift: Rotating D/N or Straight Nights (12x3) 36 hours per week
Length: 13 weeks
Weekend: 3 weekends in a 6 week period of time; FLEXIBILITY needed, scheduled on a need-basis
Requirements:
- WA State License (or temp WA license, will accept submission pending WA license)
- 2 Years minimum experience working independently (not including orientation time in the unit)
- Strong PICU exp:/ prefer large, reputable, teaching facility experience
- Require large facility PICU experience in 20 bed or greater designated PICU
- PICU experience working independently
- Patient and Family-Centered Care experience
- Quality Focus - CLABSI and Injury Prevention/ wound prevention experience
- Cardiac experience is good but MUST have strong M/S PICU experience
- Must have high acuity experience in a large General PICU setting
- Prefers candidates with PICU experience in a teaching facility
- Neurosurgery experience is a plus and ECMO/CRRT Device Proficiency
- BMT Experience nice to have; Chemo certification not required
- BLS, PALS
- CCRN preferred
- Travelers are scheduled for 6 weekend shifts, not every other weekend
- Our scheduling weeks are Monday – Sunday
- For night shift, we can schedule travelers for the night before their RTO starts
- Travelers rotate on our 6-week schedule, not every six weeks based in when they started
- The only shifts we can guarantee off are those that are pre-approved in contracts
- Travelers schedules are generated by the schedulers, they don’t self-schedule.
Required Experience:
- PICU experience working independently
- Patient and Family-Centered Care
- Cardiac experience is good but MUST have strong M/S PICU experience

Preferred Experience:
- Prefers candidates with PICU experience in a teaching facility.
- Manager wants references from travel assignments if available
- Neurosurgery experience is a plus and ECMO/CRRT Device Proficiency!
Additional info about the unit:
- POCT/smart pumps/ titration protocols
- Like to see candidates with experience from, but not limited to:
- # of beds in PICUs previously worked is more important than # of beds in facility
- Seattle Children’s PICU doctors also care for children at Harborview Medical Center, the only Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center PICU in the four-state WAMI (Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho) region.

Pay rate is estimated based on weekly gross income.
