Description:
Vanguard Furniture is seeking a Transportation Supervisor who will supervise, coach, and coordinate activities for employees engaged in driving and delivery of furniture throughout the company. Vanguard Furniture prides itself on creating high-end furniture and our transportation department uses care to transport our pieces around our facility and beyond.
An ideal candidate will supervise employee performance, allocate driver assignments, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintain all vehicles in top working order.
Also, directly oversee the daily activities, workload and personnel of organizations that rely heavily on vehicle use in the course of their normal operations.

Requirements:

• Must be knowledgeable in furniture manufacturing with ability to train new employees.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Must have good oral, written, and communication skills.

• Reading and understanding codes, laws, regulations and policies are critical along with basic budgeting, accounting, data entry and electronic file system knowledge.

• Must have basic math skills
