Norton Education Staffing & Recruiting is partnering with a school in Newton, MA to fill a Toddler Support and After School Teacher position. We are looking for someone to finish out the current school year as well as work the summer program and continue into the 2023-2024 school year!

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of relevant experience required
• Experience working with young children required
• Experience working in a Montessori environment preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred

Pay: $37,000 - $42,000 per year based on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:00am to 6:00pm
Summer hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm or 9:00am to 5:00pm

Essential Job Functions:

· Implement an age appropriate curriculum for young children

· Develop activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of children

· Ensure the classroom spaces are clean, including tables, desks, carpet.

· Implement strict health and safety protocols

Skills and Characteristics:

· The ideal candidate patient, well organized, flexible, professional, and dependable

· Have strong classroom management skills

· Be able to collaborate, be receptive to any and all feedback, and desire to grow professionally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Newton, MA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
