Banyan Treatment Centers is currently recruiting master's-level clinical professionals to join our team in Waelder, Texas as a Therapist- offering a $2,500 retention bonus after 60 days of full-time employment!
Banyan’s facility is Waelder, Texas offers a SERENE work-environment. Just 1 hour south-east of Austin, TX you could be taking breaks from work by a field of blue bonnets! Nature is contributed to stress-reduction and is a major contributor to the beauty of the facility.
Our employee’s enjoy spending time by the field of blue bonnets and ponds, listening to birds sing (the facility is home to over 100+ cardinals), seeing cattle and sometimes other wildlife!
Schedules Available:
- 8:30 am-5 pm, scheduled days would be developed with Management.

The Therapist interacts with the treatment team and provides a variety of patient care activities daily. They are responsible for managing patient caseload, providing group-individual-and family therapy, conducting bio-psychosocial assessments and more! The Therapist collaborates with the treatment team on a daily basis, formulates the master treatment plan and assists in coordinating discharge planning while functioning under the guidance of their credentials and State/Federal regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Complete ASAM Forms, documenting criteria.
- Complete initial assessments such as Trac9 and bio-psycho-socials.
- Initiate collateral call to family and/or support system, maintain contact with support system and provide family therapy.
- Formulate a comprehensive treatment plan with patient and treatment team.
- Develop clearly stated treatment goals, objectives and interventions.
- Develop interventions that will accomplish goals and objectives and state the planned frequency of
interventions. - Facilitate daily process groups connecting treatment plan goals and objectives.
- Participate effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews, demonstrating adequate
preparation and understanding of patient issues, progress, areas of resistance, positive and negative
strategies, etc. - Complete transfer summaries as patients move through appropriate levels of care.
- Conduct educational and process groups (lectures/videos/discussions) effectively.
- Provide individual counseling to patients at least one (1) times per week.
- Be effective in finding needed resources and working in tandem with Case Management.
- Ensure that documentation is timely, consistent, clear and articulate and never copy/pasted from
another note or another chart. - Develop a continuing care plan that meets patient needs for ongoing support following discharge.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, or related field.
- Applicants with LCDC will be considered; an LPC-A or LMSW is strongly preferred.
- Ability to reliably commute to facility: 4168 County Road 444 Waelder, TX 78959
- Work experience in the field of behavioral/mental health is preferred but not required. Our management team is able to offer extensive training so long as there’s a willingness to learn.
