Moodys Northwest Consulting is Looking for a Product Owner with a passion for writing effective business requirements. Ideal candidate takes pride in attention to detail and writing business requirements that capture all aspects of digital product development. Candidate should be excited about creating great digital experiences that impacts millions of customers on customer facing applications and digital experiences. As a Product Owner you will work across business, marketing, and product stakeholders to gather requirements and write user stories for our development teams.
Note: The Client is looking for a candidate from an engineering background (Technical Product Owner / Technical Product Manager)
Role & Responsibilities
- Facilitates requirements sessions with business stakeholders and product owners.
- The owner Has an understanding on how projects align to broader organizational goals and business benefits.
- Transforms product strategies into user experiences for desktop, tablet, mobile, and app. Owns the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria. Becomes SME on features and functionality to be developed.
- Facilitates functional and feasibility discussions with technology partners (e.g. architecture, sprint teams, Test) to understand trade-offs with the goal to build the best user experience.
- Assists Portfolio Management with tracking project progress (e.g. user story completion, sprint progress)
Skills:
- 5+ years in leading or participating in full, end-to-end software development lifecycle; preferably developing web properties/apps for desktop, tablet, and mobile (as opposed to infrastructure, ops, or back-office applications).
- MUST: 1-3 years experience working on initiatives/projects under an Agile/Agile-like model; sprint, Kanban, iterative, MVP, etc. This role needs to understand the development cycle and drive toward hitting key milestones.
- MUST: 3-5 years experience in writing business requirements; 1-3 years experience in writing user stories; nice to have experience writing in Gherkin format.
- Experience with Agile Tools. Have used, or at least familiarity with agile tools like Rally to write user stories, track progress, etc.
- Experience with either leading or participating in creative design sessions. Experience designing workflows to ensure a great user experience.
- Storyteller Able to capture and communicate (written and verbal) the user experience journey and how it will change based on the business needs.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of systems analysis experience with an understanding of strategic business information systems.
- Must be proficient and have experience using MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Visio
- Experience with a variety of collaboration tools (e.g. Confluence, Clarity, Jira, Rally, etc.)
- Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
