GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Technical Manager supports the engineering team to improve engineering activities and project performance. Areas of support include but are not limited to Technical Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, and Product Development. All activities are done in a way that represents Gasbarre Products in a professional manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide guidance and technical leadership to the engineering department as required.
• Develop equipment concept designs and support technical discussions with new and existing customers.
• Work with the engineering department to ensure technical objectives and goals of projects are met.
• Work with customers, engineering, and field service department to resolve customer related processing and equipment issues.
• Evaluate and work with engineering to implement design and technology improvements to product lines.
• Support task scheduling and project prioritization.
• Communicate departmental information to department members as necessary.
• Any other duties as required.

• Some travel locally and within the United States as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor of Science Degree in Material Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 10+ years of experience related to Thermal Processing in the following industries preferred: Automotive, Aerospace, Heavy Equipment, and / or Commercial Heat Treating.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: This job requires equal amounts of sitting, walking, standing, minimal lifting as well as other physical activities.
