Matko is a fast-casual restaurant in San Francisco featuring a Home-style Korean Meal. Our Build Your Own Korean Bowl (Dosirak) combines fresh Korean Banchan (side dishes) and delicious proteins together for a balanced meal.

Our flagship stores are open Inside Plate at One Market Plaza & The Market, In Twitter HQs Building in San Francisco.

As a Team Lead, your role is pivotal in streamlining our operations and getting an inside view of how our restaurants are succeeding in our day-to-day operations. Someone who will be successful in this role must have experience with Team Management and also have fundamental understanding of P&L and other cost reporting.

Basic Qualifications Include:

• ServSafe Certified
• Experience in Fast Casual Settings
• Basic Understanding of P&L/Cost Reporting
• Day to Day Operations/Team Management Experience
• Start-Up Like Operations

Specific Duties Tied to this Role Includes (and are not limited to) :

• Managing Day to Day Operations, in compliance with California Labor Laws on scheduled breaks and lunches.
• Is responsible for new employee Training and Development in conjunction with Corporate trainers.
• Assists in the selection and onboarding process for prospective candidates.
• Track, report and monitor stores financial success and attend weekly meetings with Corporate to discuss particular KPI's.
• Serve as the Point of Contact for the stores.
• Monitor, address, and document individual employee performance through on-going feedback, positive recognition, formal performance reviews, coaching and, when necessary, disciplinary action.
• Balance, pare and maintain security of all cash banks
• Ensure proper food storage, quality and presentation standards, including temperature controls are upheld and recorded.
• Perform regular and ad hoc inventories of food, beverage and restaurant supplies and track high cost items; place food, beverage and restaurant supply orders; and accept and inspect deliveries.
