Job Description:

The Team Leader Technical Operations ( Tech Ops ) Timekeeping manages the Team responsible for processing the timekeeping and attendance for contract and noncontract Tech Ops Employees . The Team Leader Tech Ops Timekeeping is a problem-solver who is detail oriented and enjoys working in a dynamic environment .

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

Responsibilities

Functional Competencies

Compliance

Acts as a compliance subject- matter expert for Team, answering questions and coaching as needed

Stays up- to- date in all areas of timekeeping, anticipates trends, and keeps Team and Leaders informed

Maintains rigorous standards to all applicable rules, regulations, and requirements to ensure compliance in all work activities across the department

Training

Uses data trends and feedback to identify opportunities for Team Members to gain further development/refinement of skills and knowledge

Discusses challenges and complex situations in regular Team meetings and one- on- ones

Provides timely feedback to Team Members to support their ability to provide excellent Customer Service

Accuracy/Production

Intervenes quickly when a trend appears in terms of errors or lower production to identify root cause

Ensures that necessary job aids and other tools are easily accessible

Maintains regular communication with Employees on workload, challenges, and opportunities for development

Must be able to meet any physical ability requirements listed on this description

May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

Education

Required: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred: College course work

Experience

Preferred: Experience with Quickbase, Workday and Microsoft Office is preferred but not required

Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience administering time/attendance for Ground Ops & Provisioning -or- Tech Ops using Southwest's time and attendance system or equivalent work experience

Required: Strong computer skills; able to proficiently navigate between multiple concurrent computer applications for research and problem solving

Required: Experience mentoring/coaching others to improve confidence and performance

Required: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred: Prior experience leading/organizing medium to large size Teams

Physical Abilities

Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time

Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job

Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

Other Qualifications

Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines

Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Must have an unwavering ability to maintain confidentiality when handling confidential, proprietary, and sensitive Company information

Must be willing and able to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays

Must have flexibility to work extended hours if necessary during the week, weekend, or on Company holidays, as necessary to meet deadlines, payroll close, or for time-sensitive projects
