JOB SUMMARY:
Educate, plan, teach, facilitate and evaluate students and children identified with special education needs according to local, state and federal regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications required:
Appropriate licensure for special education
Knowledge in research-based best practices and differentiation
Preference of having knowledge and experience in working with children with special needs
Responsibilities:
Plan and implements individualized instruction designed to meet the educational needs of children on IEPs
Creates a learning environment conducive to the learning needs of children with disabilities
Encourages student success by collaborating with classroom teachers and assisting with accommodations and modifications when appropriate
Employs a variety of instructional techniques embedding technology when appropriate
Maintains accurate and complete records as required by law and district procedures
