SUMMARY
The Talent Acquisition Manager ("Gerente de Reclutamiento") is responsible for ensuring our company attracts, hires and retains the best employees, while growing a strong talent pipeline. This position must understand the essential duties and responsibilities for both hourly and exempt positions and identifies candidates that will excel in a variety of job types.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Advises on the design of and implements the overall recruiting strategy
  • Coordinates with department managers to forecast future hiring needs
  • Positions the Company as the "preferred employer" in the area by maintaining strong relationships with community resources, referral agencies, and educational institutions to maintain a strong applicant flow
  • Recommends ways to improve our employer brand
  • Prepares recruiting materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards / newspapers / colleges, etc. in a timely manner
  • Evaluates and chooses job advertising options. Implements new sourcing methods (e.g. databases, social media recruiting, etc.)
  • Manages on-site job fairs
  • Assesses candidate talent (relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes) and makes recommendations to managers
  • Recruits, screens, interviews and places candidates for all types of job openings
  • Trains managers on recruiting management system and interviewing techniques
  • Schedules panel interviews with managers and candidates in a timely manner
  • Coordinates temporary employees when needed
  • Assists with reference checks and the creation of offer letters
  • Assists in coordination of new hire orientation and all aspects of on boarding
  • Keeps track of and analyze recruiting and employment metrics (e.g. turnover, time-to-hire and cost-per-hire)
  • Assists in completing industry wage surveys
  • Reviews recruitment software and suggests improvements or new options for company needs
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two-year associates degree, trade school degree, professional certification or any equivalent.
  • At least 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience running shifts, scheduling, performance management, problem-solving, guest servicing and running day-to-day operations.
  • Experience in dealing with the public is preferred, such as retail cashier, food industry service, guest service with public contacts, etc.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet the demands of the business is required.
  • Ability to maintain a friendly, team-oriented, positive attitude and a professional appearance at all times.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section 2810.8 and San Diego Municipal Code 311.0101 et. Seq.
