This position supports NSP within the Strategic Missile Defense Line of Business in Craig Technologies Space.

As a Flight Systems Design Integration Mechanical Integration Lead, you will:
  • Perform mechanical integration for the Missile Flight System, including system development and oversight of structures/mechanisms, propulsion, ACS, and thermal protection, in collaboration with the Requirements & Verification team
  • Lead and coordinate efforts of other mechanical integrators within the team
  • Develop and maintain the mechanical configuration model and internal missile mechanical ICDs
  • Perform mechanical compatibility analyses and oversight of mass properties control board for the missile flight system
  • Develop and implement integration plans for the missile system
  • Work with Certified Principal Engineers (CPEs) and designers to establish missile internal mechanical interfaces to ensure smooth integration at the system level
  • Provide independent review and coordination to ensure flight system designs are mechanically compatible
  • Lead and support anomaly investigations during integration and test phase
  • Participate in design maturity reviews
Basic Qualifications:
  • Missile or satellite system mechanical design, modeling and/or integration experience
  • Skilled in Creo CAD modeling and CAD control
  • Experience defining and documenting system mechanical interfaces
  • Experience coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Flight Sciences, Materials, Manufacturing, Test, etc.)
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
  • Experience ensuring the physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the full life cycle of the program
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on numerous roles as part of the daily program operations
  • Participant in Systems Engineering reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR)
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
  • Experience leading teams, performing mechanical compatibility analysis, managing mass properties budgets, and conducting design audits
  • Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning expertise
  • Active Secret clearance

Ability to Work Remotely:
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Craig Technologies facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules:
Craig Technologies supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in Colorado or Washington is $100,400 - $192,500. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Craig Technologies considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
