DCCSB is looking for a Supported Employment Specialist to provide supported employment services to individuals living with Developmental Disabilities. Provide community outreach services with employers and ongoing job development with individuals in services. Will work with individuals to meet specific employment goals on their individual service plan.

Job Duties:

  • Assists individuals with all phases of employment service.
  • Serves as an advocate/liaison to facilitate client-employer communications Maintains accurate treatment records and documentation
  • Maintains trainings and reports as needed
  • Maintains a caseload of clients of targeted population.
  • Reviews/monitors caseload and completes the appropriate paperwork to transition to Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency (GVRA).
  • Assists clients with all phases of employment services including intake, engagement, assessment, job development, job placement, job coaching, and follow-up supports.
  • Teaches clients skills to manage symptoms/barriers to obtaining and/or maintaining employment.
  • Ensures integration of employment services with developmental disability services.
  • Participates in regularly scheduled ISP treatment team meetings with shared decision-making for mutual clients.
  • Provides high quality, compassionate, and ethical services to improve program and organizational performance.
  • Serves as a client advocate/liaison to facilitate client-employer communications regarding requests for accommodations, professional development, etc.
  • Maintains contact with internal and external providers involved with clients to maintain continuity of care, as well as establish and maintain relationships with prospective employers and other treatment providers.
  • Maintains confidentiality for all indirect/direct service in accordance with agency policies and HIPPA policies.
  • Other responsibilities and tasks as may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

Education – Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field.

Experience - Minimum two-years (2) of human services, social work and/or clinical experience working with the SPMI population.

Other - Criminal background check clearance, official academic transcripts, valid driver’s license/ID, drug screen, TB test, eligible 7yr MVR

Preferred: 1-year Developmental Disabilities experience or Supported Employment experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
