Position Summary

JOB SUMMARY


Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency, provides customer-friendly services to internal and external customers. With limited supervision, sets up, coordinates and runs parenting groups, trains new staff and coaches and supports existing staff in effectively using therapeutic interventions with children and families and in meeting documentation quality and timeliness expectations. Analyzes outcome data in partnership with Outcomes and Evaluation to identify quality improvement activities. Leads quality improvement activities from start to finish, including evaluation of the effectiveness of the activities.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


1. Independently facilitates groups for parents, families, youth, and adults (including evidence based and program approved practice); establish lesson plans; formulate homework assignments; write progress notes; collect and analyze required outcome measures; arrange for support services such as transportation and/or childcare.

2. In collaboration with program management, clinical staff, and other program staff, develops and implements skill-building and strength-based intervention strategies for use with adults, youth, and families.

3. Trains new staff and coaches existing staff on utilizing identified interventions with adults, youth, and families, meeting documentation quality and timeliness expectations.

4. Meets with representatives from partner agencies to present information on regional programs and help to guide the referral process to best match program/services with youth, adult and family needs.

5. Leads policy and procedure development and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. Participates in work group development/committees. Work closely with Clinical Program Manager to continually build, improve, and refine program infrastructure.

6. Supports Clinical Program Managers in monthly and annual audit preparation and process.

7. Participates effectively in multidisciplinary clinical teams, internally and externally.

8. In collaboration with Clinician or Clinical Program Manager, facilitates assessment of children, families, and environments to identify behaviors and other factors that indicate safety risks (i.e., suicide, violence/aggression, substance abuse, use of medication, etc.) and track progress through observation measures (TOM, CANS, WFI, Surveys, Points and Levels, etc.).

9. Tracks due dates for clinical outcome measures and clinical documentation (ICC Plans, CANS, TOM, WFI, ANSA, PSI, Assessments, Safety Plans, Individualized Plans (IP's), Court Reports, ROI's etc.); informs staff of upcoming tasks due; utilizes data collected to analyze effectiveness of interventions utilized with adults, youth, and families.

10. Triages all phone calls from caregivers and referral parties inquiring aboutservices, availability of services, admission process, and status of enrollment. Will maintain contact with adults, youth, caregivers on the wait list for services. Will facilitate the intake process (reviewing court orders and ensuring consent to treatment, printing information, scanning documents into customer record etc.).. Provides information to parents, guardians, and referral sources regarding the admission process and available services; keeps contact with families on the wait list until family is linked to services.

11. Other responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/business needs.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE


 Bachelor’s degree required. (with emphasis in Psychology, social Work, Sociology or related course work)

 2 years of experience in Mental Health field required.


OTHER SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS


 Clinical skills relevant to intake services including: client triage, understanding of legal/ethical issues, and risk management.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


 4 year of experience in Mental Health field preferred.

 Knowledge of excel spreadsheets; moderate computer literacy
