Mission
You are the focal point for industrial and quality topics towards the supplier and internal organization, ensuring proper equipment manufacturing (Configuration, Conformity, Capacity).
You will acquire an in-depth knowledge of the equipment / supplier to enable effective control of the manufacturing processes and quality controls, and will coordinate the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier management (procurement, technical, quality, material & processes).
During development phase, you will be in charge of industrial assessments for potential suppliers and you will implement the initial industrial frame working with SCM and TM :
- Initial industrial assessments during proposal phases to provide inputs for supplier selection
- SOC reviews and NC discussion on industrial and quality aspects
- Initiate discussion to implement adequate industrial and quality management at supplier level
Your Day-to-Day
- Provide leadership and manage daily the supplier on all aspects of the supplier production:
- Configuration
- ensuring As design/As build consistency and traceability
- Conformity
- leading quality reviews (deviation/wavering process/Non Conformity) and coordinating the interfaces of all stakeholders involved in the supplier management (technical, procurement, material & processes)
- change management
- deliveries approval
- Capacity
- Review production line/sub tiers capacity maturity and readiness, and take appropriate improvement actions
- Assess production capacity and identify/drive with the supplier improvement plan when needed
- Supplier continuous improvement plan
- review production stability Kcs and KPis (repeatability, capability, etc…)
- Identify the possible gaps of capacity / capability
- Propose improvement and support the developments required to meet the expected performance
- Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the equipment / supplier
- Resolving conflicts within the project team and providing leadership and motivation to build the team into an effective unit.
- Reporting to Head of Supplier Development Manager team
- Position will be located in Merritt Island, Florida and requires 25-50% travel (domestic and international).
Your Profile

- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong networking and relations building skills
- MS Engineering degree (or equivalent), ideally in Electronics, Mechanical or Thermal
- Knowledge of mass production constraints (in automotive, aeronautics…) would be a plus
- Knowledge of APQP, LEAN methodology would be a plus
- Knowledge of robust design tools would be a plus (DFMEA, 6 sigma, …)
Physical Demand
