Summer Program Leader - Explorer’s Club
Job Description and Responsibilities

The Explorer’s Club Summer Program Leader is responsible for planning and delivering high quality programming for participants.

SIGNIFICANT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Directly supervise and provide group management to elementary and/or middle school students
● Implement high quality programming that engages students in a variety of ways
● Create and implement curriculum and activities for students in an enriching and enjoyable manner
● Foster a safe environment for students using positive youth development strategies
● Provide for the general health and safety of students during programming
● Cultivates an inviting and nurturing environment for every child
● Consistently communicate with families
● Build community with school faculty & staff, parents, and others
● Ensure that Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care licensing requirements are followed
● Maintain appropriate records and provide accurate and timely information on program operations
● Work with team members to create a harmonious and efficient working environment
● Complete 8 hours of professional development training in accordance with

Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Guidelines
● Provide lunch breaks to other Program Leads daily
● Assist in proper cleaning and sanitizing of equipment
● Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications
● Must be 18 years of age or older
● Must have at least three months (or 460 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable work experience with school-age children in a group setting
● Must be able to become First Aid, CPR, and Universal Precautions trained within

30 days of start of employment (already certified preferred)
● High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum hire rate $15/hour

• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Castle Rock, CO 80104: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• CPR Certification (Preferred)
