How will you make an impact?

Staff Assistants perform a wide variety of office duties for one or more management/specialist personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Typing, filing, ensuring telephone coverage, greeting and directing customers, handling mail, ordering office supplies, updating manuals, arranging travel and hotel accommodations
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports from automated databases
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements
  • Review, screen and prioritize mail
  • Answer multi-line telephone and direct one/or transfer calls
  • Set up and maintain filing system as well as receive and direct visitors
Qualifications:
Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidate possesses exceptional office and communication skills and has an excellent command of grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills. Staff Assistants must have the ability to learn new software applications and apply knowledge and the ability to compose routine correspondence. In this role the candidates must be able to perform all duties under sometimes stressful conditions beyond the employee's control while attempting to influence a favorable impression of American Eagle, American Airlines or any other contracted airline service provided by Envoy. Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated.

Requirements
  • Minimum age of 18
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Flexible to work additional hours with short notice when operationally necessary
  • Possess the legal right to work in the United States
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language
  • Previous on-the-job office/clerical experience; at least one (1) year of customer service
    experience is preferred
  • Minimum typing speed of 35 to 50 words per minute (w.p.m.)
  • Collect mail ranging in
    weight from a few ounces to 25lbs. Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of
    time
