Wampum Hardware Company (WHC), an established blasting company with locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia and Indiana, is seeking a Staff Accountant for its corporate office in New Galilee, PA. This position offers great long-term potential and a strong compensation and benefits package. Staff Accountant Responsibilities

• Inventory Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; tracks orders and investigates problems. Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
• Accounts Receivable Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable. Maintains and updates customer files, including name or address.
• Cash Review and post daily transactions. Preform monthly bank reconciliations. Prepare daily deposits.
• Sales and Use Tax Review and submit monthly and quarterly Sales and Use Tax Returns.
• Billing Process and send invoices direct to clients; review pricing to ensure compliance with Company policy.
• Fixed Assets Maintain records for additions and disposals. Review operating expenditures to determine if any cost should be capitalized.

Qualifications and Requirements

• BA/BS in Accounting
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with public accounting experience a plus
• Strong Excel skills required
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
• Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing with management, clients and vendors
• Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) drug screen, criminal background checks and physical
