SIS currently has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. .NET / Java Developer to support AFSAC Online applications for the Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB in the Dayton, OH. area.
Job Summary:
Responsible for leading a technical team in programming, analysis, and sustainment support by published change management processes and providing functional expertise in supporting online applications.
Primary Job Duties / Must Haves:
- Maintenance of existing systems and new development in .NET, Java, and JavaScript, including Bootstrap and jQuery. All applications are web based and hosted on Tomcat or IIS.
- Understanding of general database administration – Oracle 11g or later (Currently on Oracle 19c).
- Previous experience and a passion for doing the review, analysis, and making recommendations for improvements for other’s code.
- Validate code doesn’t violate security protocols.
- Day-to-day support for application users.
- Develop and maintain documentation including user guides.
- Understanding of interfaces between multiple government systems.
- Understanding of testing methodologies.
Nice to Haves / Pluses:
- Experience with Cloud migration or any applicable Cloud administration knowledge.
- Previous experience working in complex / large scale environments a plus.
- Not responsible for, but a basic understanding of DISA Stigs will be helpful.
- Experience developing foreign military sales (FMS) systems is a plus.
- Urban Code experience (IBM CI/CD tool).
- Agile / SCRUM training / certification.
Position Requirements:
- 6+ years relevant .NET & Java development experience.
- Understanding of web technologies and web applications.
- Understanding of interfaces between multiple government systems, and testing methodologies.
- Confidential Security Clearance or have previously passed a Tier I NACI background investigation.
- IAT II (i.e., Security+) certification or higher is required.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
