The Data Engineering team is actively engaged in the ongoing database engineering process, partnering with development groups and providing deep subject matter expertise input as stakeholders to design reviews, and as an advocate for bringing forward and resolving customer issues.

CLIENT is seeking talented Data Architect who will innovate and engineer solutions in the area of database technology. We need individuals who are enthusiastic about applying bold new ideas to solving real-world data problems. The Data Engineering team is actively engaged in the ongoing database engineering process, partnering with development groups and providing deep subject matter expertise input as stakeholders to design reviews, and as an advocate for bringing forward and resolving customer issues.
- 5+ years in data warehousing, preferably within a data platform
- 5+ years in ETL with semi-structured and unstructured data sets
- 7+ years of experience with several programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with Spark streaming and SQL
- Coding skills in the procedural language for at least one database engine a must (PL/SQL, T-SQL etc.)
- Experience in micro-service architecture/design
- Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD), and/or Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) is a plus
- Experience with DAG workflow scheduler systems
- Ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly
- Experience with NoSQL data stores such as Dynamo DB, HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB
- Experience in data warehousing with Hive and a scalable store such as Snowflake or Redshift
- Working with one or more streaming platforms, such as Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, Storm, or AWS Kinesis
- experienced in various Clustering and Sharding architectures
- Excellent SQL and DB performance tuning skills.
- Experience in Kubernetes will be a plus.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels
- Strong understanding distributed system principles of load balancing, scaling, in-memory vs. disk
- Ability to work efficiently with source code management systems like GIT and SVN
- - Familiar with DevOps - automated deployment tools
CLIENT Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Experience or Degree in: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business or related field
- Typically Minimum 8+ Years Relevant Exp
- Four-year college degree and 8 or more years, and/or a high school diploma with 10 or more years professional experience in full life cycle design and development to include IT architecture, banking industry experience, and understanding client requirements
- Master's Degree
- Computer Science or Information Systems
- Certification in IT Architecture
