Come join our dynamic team! We have an opening for a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in our Outpatient clinic in Chesapeake and our new clinic in Virginia Beach as well as for Early Intervention. This position can also be be a combined position for early intervention and outpatient as well as some community based services as we expand our services into the Hampton Roads Community! We are excited that we are brining new and innovative therapy approaches to our therapy program to meet the needs of our families.
Therapists in Early Intervention will work as part of an interdisciplinary team using a coaching model. Must be able to travel if working in Early Intervention. Cities we provide services include Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Chesapeake. Our outpatient clinics are in Chesapeake, close to Chesapeake Regional Hospital as well as Virginia Beach in the Haygood area.

Responsibilities:
- Complete comprehensive and diagnostic assessments to children with communication, language, voice, or fluency disorders using standardized or informal assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized therapeutic treatment plans and strategies using evidenced based interventions ·
- Participating in various group programs such as early language and literacy both in the clinic and in non-traditional therapy settings (community, daycares, private schools)
- Treating pediatric clients in the 0-3 setting in the home or community who are part of our Early Intervention Program
- Therapist caseload may also include outpatient therapy working with children ages 3-18 in home and community-based settings
- Participating in an interdisciplinary team to complete assessments for children in need of early intervention services
- Complete mentorship and training with a seasoned therapist to ensure competency in early intervention setting
- Oral Motor/Feeding therapy is also provided at our clinic. Additional training, continuing education, and mentorship will be provided in this area if needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous pediatric experience is preferred but not required
- Speech Language Pathology licensing is necessary
- Must have or be able to obtain Early Intervention Certification in Virginia
- Full time, Part-time and contract work available
- Excellent pay, either salaried, per hour, or per visit
- Must be able to work independently and must have reliable transportation
