VIP Medical Group is a physician owned center located in multiple states that use modern IT solutions and an integrated platform to optimize all aspects of a medical practice.

We’re looking for a Sonographer for our Long Island Medical Practice locations (Jericho and West Islip). The Sonographer is responsible for performing vein scanning, ultrasound scans and some medical assistant roles. The ultrasound tech will work together with our doctors and medical staff in our Long Island locations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare exam room and ultrasound equipment to conduct sonography exams in accordance with patient safety protocols, policies, and procedures
• Perform lower extremity scanning and images.
• Medical intakes
• Medical notes
• Use sterile technique for procedure set up and prep patients for procedures
• Assist in procedures
• Perform diagnostic venous duplex ultrasound scans, rule out DVT scans, and post procedure scans
• Maintain patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA
• Properly care for Ultrasound equipment and notifies the office if there are any issues
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with co-workers and members of the health care team

Education and Requirements:

• Associates degree in sonography
• ARDMS (certification can be obtained during the working period)
• RVT (certification can be obtained during the working period)
• Full-time availability
