Job Overview/duties

Our software testers are responsible for the release of our many software products. Working with our programmers, they are the last step to make sure we deliver what we promise - bug free and ready-to-use software. They conduct a variety of unit and regression tests on ARS software products, and sub systems to ensure each function performs according to specifications. They are willing to lend a helping hand to other team members when needed. The essential duties of this position include the following:

· Reads test schedule, work orders, test manuals, performance specifications and workflow diagrams to determine testing procedure and tests to be used.

· Confers with software engineers, support staff, and others regarding testing procedures and results to resolve problems.

· Writes scripts for automated testing product, and executes and analyzes the results.

· Some familiarity with coding, maintaining and running automation test suite projects based on Microsoft.Net framework utilizing C# and/or VB.NET.

· Prepares/reviews test cases and test plans

· Preparation of test reports including results, defects and observation

· Follows MSF (Microsoft Solutions Framework) procedures.

· Must have working knowledge of SQL (any variety)

· Assists Level II support with complicated customer issues

· Other duties may be assigned.

Experience

2 - 5 years related experience is required for this position. Knowledge of and experience with various testing methodologies: Unit, Black Box, White Box, Regression.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science. May be substituted with three years of work experience. Accounting or finance courses are a plus. Advanced degree is a plus.

Other skills

· Detail Oriented.

· Configuration and set up of modern software.

· Working knowledge of Microsoft applications operating systems, Visual FoxPro Database software; Excel Spreadsheet software and MS Office family of software.

job location/Required travel

Generally, no travel is required for this position. You would be based in our corporate office in Turlock, CA. This is typically not a work from home or remote position.

Wage Rate/Hours/Classification

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00 per hour based on education and experience. This is a non-exempt position. You will be eligible for appropriate overtime.
