Job Summary:
Position functions as part of the team of developers creating innovative, industry-changing applications. Position writes and develops code for proprietary software that provides solutions for customer facing applications for the retail industry. Incumbent may perform quality assurance testing and or customer support functions in support of the software. Position addresses on-going performance of the software, incorporating customer feedback into the software development process. Position performs duties in a highly collaborative team environment.
**
*Duties and Responsibilities:*

• Assist in the development of new and existing software applications
• Work with backend developers to integrate web applications with APIs and databases.
• Make recommendations on new tools
• Participate in code & design reviews. Mentor junior developers as needed
• Maintain UI standards across the application
• Provide post-implementation support of existing applications
• Create documentation of project functionality
• Participate and/or be responsible for the roll out and on time delivery of developed applications
• Acquire and maintain advanced understanding of the business processes that are supported by the software for which you are responsible
• Develop/maintain programs that store and retrieve data and involve complex screens, interfaces, tables, input/output and reporting
• Participate in daily standups and present Sprint demos

• Collaborate and communicate with internal and external customers, IT members, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

• Strong Angular UI development & typescript background to design, develop, and maintain user interface components and ensure high performance of web applications.
• UI/UX styling. Experience with CSS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, etc.
• Additional .NET Core experience is preferred.
• Additional React or React Native experience is a plus
• Familiarity with web-based applications, SaaS products development, using ASP.NET, .NET Core, LINQ, MVC, Web API, C# and SQL Server 2016/2019 is a plus
• Experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Experience with Agile, Test Driven Development or related lifecycle methodologies
• Experience in working within teams to design new products, rewrite legacy programs, and maintain current applications throughout the development process
• Knowledge of and experience in developing client applications on top of SOA/Microservices and Web Services (RESTful preferred)
• Solid understanding of scalable single page web applications plus experience with various web service APIs
• Exposure to coding for authentication/authorization within distributed environments
• Knowledge of ORM tools such as Entity Framework is a plus
• Azure DevOps experience is a plus (Boards, Pipelines, Git Repo)
• Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems or related discipline or certificate from an accredited technical school/program in a related discipline or equivalent experience

*Qualifications, Skills Abilities and Competencies:*

• Strong coding and design and architecture skills in Object-Oriented Programming
• Proven track record developing commercial products in an Agile development environment.
• Must work well in a small development group and collaborate and work well with other departments including Product Management and SQA.
• Highly organized, with strong attention to detail.
• Advanced ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English.
• Proficiency with PC's to include knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), maintaining data bases, generating information and tracking status using proprietary software.
• Ability to produce detailed reports, particularly in Excel.
• Ability to build effective relationships.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to client and internal problems and challenges.
• Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit as well as align with GSP values
