Sheet Metal Fabricator
Pay: $17-20
Hours: 6:00am - 4:00pm
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating fabricating machines including break press, metal muncher, rollers, etc.
- Have general knowledge and understanding of reading blueprints, datum’s tolerances and assure quality workmanship
- Lay out, measure, and inspect part dimensions to blueprints, internal drawings or written instructions using height gauges, micrometers, dial instructions and calipers
- Experience in qualifying sheet metal parts to fit models, check fixtures and or print specifications
- Layout, trim, saw and sand, shear, punch, brake or otherwise fabricate parts per established procedures and production standards and to stated and acceptable quality standards
- Qualify part details to tooling, fixtures and models to print specifications
- Ability to identify any cost cutting or process improvements
- Fill out and complete all paperwork needed before moving parts to next operations for processing
- Ability to perform exceptional housekeeping duties a must
- Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned or when required by customer needs
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or GED
- Minimum of one year sheet metal fabricating experience
- Minimum of three years work experience using small hand tools
