Job Responsibilities:

  • Services and repairs customer equipment (either at AIC’s Greenwood location or onsite at customer location) typically related to the finishing industry such as electrostatic liquid spray guns and power supplies, electrostatic powder spray guns and power supplies, conventional spray guns, pumps, and related equipment.
  • Provides recommendations for equipment, systems, and processes to improve reliability and / or performance.
  • Provides root cause failure analysis of products and systems.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings / schematics.
  • Completes reports detailing work performed as well as parts lists, etc.
  • May provide onsite training for customer support personnel.
  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving malfunctions.
  • At times installing and configuring systems at customer location.
  • Job will require travel (approximately 50%) and some overnight stays (approximately 25%).

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, or associate degree or Certification in Mechanics/Electrical/Technical preferred.
  • You must be physically fit and able to stand and walk for at least 8 hours a day, lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination and capability to use shop equipment (Drill Press, Pneumatic Hand Tools, Horizontal Bandsaw, cutting torch); use of precision equipment (dial indicators, mics, calipers) a plus; additional advantage for those with experience in the Finishing Industry. Direct experience not required as will train.
  • General knowledge of PC and ability to use Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook).
  • Ability to read and understand dimensional drawing, exploded view drawings, and cut section drawings.
  • Must be willing to travel for training as determined by management, with possible overnight stay.
