In partnership with ACT, Schwab Alliance provides premium services for clients of independent financial advisors. The services provide practical financial tools and resources and a dedicated service team to complement the advisor-client relationship.
Alliance’s vision is to act as a liaison for the Financial Advisor, enhancing their client product and service offering by leveraging the scale of Schwab. Brokerage Service Specialists carry out that vision by working in small, highly collaborative teams that consistently strive to provide a positive experience in every client interaction.
As an Alliance Customer Service Associate you will be the primary point of contact for the clients of independent advisors who custody assets with Schwab and provide “best in class” service. It’s this level of service that differentiates us from our competitors and serves as a sustainable competitive advantage. This is a phone-based position. You will:

What you are good at
As an Alliance Customer Service Associate you will be the primary point of contact for the clients of independent advisors who custody assets with Schwab and provide “best in class” service. It’s this level of service that differentiates us from our competitors and serves as a sustainable competitive advantage. This is a phone-based position. You will:
- Proactively consult and educate clients of Independent Investment Advisors
- Research and respond to client issues related to online enrollment, forms, transfers, and various other areas of product knowledge and support
- Collaborate with internal partners in delivery of timely and accurate information in response to inquiries and/or service issues
- Provide outstanding client service with a “one call resolution” mentality while demonstrating empathy and problem-solving skills
- Champion client use of Schwab’s digital platform and provide website navigational support by leading with a superior understanding of features and benefits of Schwab tools, products, and services in order to encourage adoption of our industry leading platform
- Operate in an environment of ‘learn, practice, master’ – layering on knowledge and understanding enabling you to expand your career and the variety of areas in which you service the clients you serve
- You will have the opportunity to enroll in our self-study program for the FINRA Series 7 & 63/66 licenses after your first 90 days of training

- At least 1 year of customer service experience is required. College Internships and collegiate activities will be considered in lieu of experience.
- Excellent operational and organizational skills with the ability to manage transactional work, be self-directed, and quickly develop a full understanding of our business and the financial services industry
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a desire to work in an inbound phone environment
- Aptitude and passion for working with technology and influencing our clients in becoming a digital practice
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume organization that remains committed to a secure and client-focused experience
- Team orientation, enthusiasm, professionalism and strong work ethic with high level of integrity and ethics
