Bellerive Country is seeking an outstanding
Club House Server to join our team. The
Club House Server will be responsible for providing excellent Food and Beverage service to members and guests. Works seamlessly with the Culinary Team to maintain and develop food knowledge, as well as the Beverage Manager to expand all beverage service opportunities. Adheres to the Club standards and culture while working in a fast-paced environment.
Bellerive Country Club has since 1897 been focused on being the preeminent family country club in St. Louis, responsibly serving the dining, recreational and social needs of our members while maintaining a nationally recognized golf course. Bellerive Country Club is a private country club in St. Louis with over 500 members. Bellerive underwent a $19 million renovation in 2019/2020 that included a complete refurbishment of the 80,000 square feet clubhouse, the addition of a full-service casual dining facility and private event space, a fitness center, and a halfway house. Bellerive’s other amenities include a professionally staffed and nationally recognized, industry award-winning 18-hole championship golf course, which has hosted several professional golf championships and is scheduled to host the 2026 BMW Championship and 2030 Presidents Cup, a professionally staffed state-of-the-art racquets facility with clay and hard courts, pickleball courts, and paddle tennis courts, bocce courts, and an Olympic size swimming pool.
- Deliver an exceptional dining experience through menu knowledge and the ability to answer all member/guest questions related to food and beverage.
- Demonstrate genuine hospitality while serving members/guests in the dining room as well as in all areas of the club.
- Provide immediate and continuous service to all members/guests.
- Gather accurate member club numbers, or credit card payments from guests for billing purposes.
- Place accurate orders to the kitchen using Jonas POS.
- Ability to navigate Jonas POS for all other openings, closing, and accuracy of chits.
- Stock, organize, and maintain restaurant equipment in dining and storage areas.
- Set up and break down dining spaces, patio, and back of house area and keep all areas clean, organized, and presentable to members.
- Become familiar with members and their dietary needs/ requests.
- Thorough menu and food knowledge to ensure all allergies or food sensitivities are acknowledged and adhered to.
- Complete daily opening and closing side work and check out with the closing server prior to leaving.
- If assigned to the closing server, ensure all side work tasks have been completed by all other staff before leaving and checking out with the closing manager on duty.
- Immediately alert the manager(s) on the duty of any complaints or service issues during service so they may be resolved.
- Attending mandatory training classes when provided.
- Stay present on the floor continuously throughout the shift and be available to assist other servers in all capacities as needed during service.
- Engage in food/wine discussions during pre-shifts and have strong menu knowledge. Be able to answer all menu questions that might be asked by a member.
- Knowledge of all events happening throughout the club daily and being able to assist a member to a designated area if needed.
- Adhere to uniform standards set by the Club.
- Other appropriate tasks as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Food and Beverage or other members of the Food and Beverage leadership team.
Qualifications / Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of previous serving experience is required. One (1) year of experience in a fine dining and/or private club atmosphere is preferred.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
