As a Senior Salesforce DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Salesforce integrated projects while working with globally dispersed teams (including Developers, Product Managers, QEs, and Support) to implement solutions for DevOps business requirements. You will also work to brainstorm and identify automation opportunities to allow for easier, more efficient processes and activities. 100% remote with full benefit package.

Responsibilities

  • Set up continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines primarily for Salesforce integrated projects
  • Ensure all Salesforce updates move from development through staging to production seamlessly through automation
  • Implement solutions for ongoing/new DevOps requirements through geographically dispersed teams
  • Environment provisioning, sandbox management, data management
  • Collaborate with Developers, Product Managers, QA, and Support Teams to support ongoing environment, code move, release management process
  • Identify opportunities to automate recurring activities and identifying long-term options
  • Champion the mindset of DevOps and Agile within the team to achieve business benefits including faster time to market, faster ROI, predictable release cadence, optimized delivery times, cost optimization, risk reduction
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance for the DevOps team
  • Run final releases to production
  • Define and track DevOps KPIs such as release velocity, lead time (releasing finished work to production as quickly as possible)
  • Act as escalation point and be available to support weekday evening/weekend releases as needed

Requirements:

  • Equipped with 5+ years of Salesforce administration, release management, or developer experience
  • Able to read, interpret and write Apex, SQL/SOQL/SAQL code
  • Experienced within Salesforce Platform including Industries (Certified Administrator, Certified Developer)
  • Good understanding on the Salesforce architecture, terminologies, components, releases, and version propagation
  • Good understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, Financial Services, Industries, and Experience Cloud
  • Able to create/deploy package.xml for Salesforce metadata
  • Able to create/deploy YAML files for Salesforce Industries components
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator with the ability to learn quickly
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while continuously evaluating emerging technologies
  • A results-oriented, highly organized individual who can handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Must have a technical background in Development/Sysadmin/Automation
  • Well versed with Git branching strategies
  • Experienced in the following: Languages (Apex), Database Technologies (SQL, SOQL), Scripting (Shell, batch), SF Deployment (SFDX, Change Sets, SF Metadata API, IDX Workbench, Vlocity Build Tool), Version control tools (Git, Bitbucket), Build Automation tools (AutoRabit, Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Apache Ant)
  • Experience in any programming language (Python, Java), Code coverage, Unit testing
