Job Summary:

The AFSOC SOF FMV PED course provides IQT for AFSOC ISR PED personnel. IQT is unique to the AFSOC mission and qualifications from non- AFSOC organizations are not transferable. Contractor employees must qualify for an ISR PED position by attending the Hurlburt Field AFSOC ISR PED two-week course. AFSOC ISR PED course familiarizes special operations intelligence personnel with AFSOC ISR PED systems and mission tasks with a concentration on Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs). Successful completion of the course earns the student a “Basic Qualification” status. Contractor employees will also support the AFSOC ITC course, which provides academic instruction and scenario- based training to 11 SOIS, other SOF components and external agency personnel on ITC duties, responsibilities, and operational employment. Topics include, but are not limited to, ITC fundamentals, Supported Unit’s (SU) construct and targeting methodology, ISR platform capabilities/limitations and SU operational considerations. Contractor employee conducts training reviews, revisions, and initial courseware development for the AFSOC ITC course syllabus. Contractor employee creates reviews and updates classroom-training materials such as student handouts, lesson plans, PowerPoint presentations, and practical exercises, as required for accuracy and relevance. Contractor employee continuously revises lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep TTP information up to date. Contractor employee designs/develops, updates, and reviews complex AFSOC ITC training scenarios for inclusion in the course. Contractor employee determines student's proficiency and modifies programs of instruction tailored to each individual's training needs.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years hands-on IMINT and/or FMV analysis and production experience out of the last 12 years.
  • Candidates must have experience conducting the duties of a SOF FMV PED/ITC Course Instructor.
  • Contractor employee must either graduate from USAFSOS' Methods of Instruction Course or complete one of the Services' instructor courses.
  • Contractor employee must be a CCAF-certified instructor (i.e., possess an Associates Degree and complete the above Instructor Methodology and Instructional Systems Design courses), and are required to attend, at a minimum, one professional development opportunity annually.
  • These training events are professional development and are at the contractor’s expense.
  • In addition, employees must successfully complete the SOF FMV PED and ITC courses.
