Description of Responsibilities:

  • Manage CapEx reporting process for Morton North America. This includes the coordination of the annual business planning and forecasting as well as the adherence to company policies. The CapEx budget varies between $75 million USD and $10 million USD on an annual basis depending on the extent of major projects.
  • Coordinate the approval of projects with Morton Salt’s Executive Team. This includes presenting and communicating the financial aspects of projects in a way that aligns those required for ultimate approval.
  • Create and maintain project information in SAP and Morton’s project database
  • Assist with the month end financial consolidation and reporting process.
  • Assist with other aspects of the FP&A group related to internal reporting and build out of PowerBI dashboards, reporting and planning templates, etc.
  • Coordinate planning and forecasting of CapEx for Morton North America, as well as reporting of actual results each month
  • Assist in the monthly financial reporting and consolidation process for the FP&A group
  • Coordinate the setup and approval of projects per the company’s internal guidelines.
  • Coordinate with the local plant controllers and respective stakeholders as required on data collection and management.
  • Provide critical analysis of projects. Ensure that all relevant information is considered. Ensure that project calculations are reasonable. Ensure that assumptions are realistic and that they are well documented.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve an internal CapEx reporting process showing spend vs. budget and forecast.
  • Assist with questions on capex project submission (AFE) forms.
  • Create new internal reports encompassing other areas that the FP&A group is working on, as needed by other functional areas.
  • Comprehensive data analysis within Excel and PowerBI when working on various data sets to ensure that data is validated and tied out prior to rolling reporting to the broader organization.
  • Support special projects as required within the Finance / FP&A group’s broader strategy of internal financial and operational reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 4+ years of analysis experience
  • 4-5 years of experience in CapEx and FP&A
  • Strong analytical and Excel modeling skills
  • Experience working in PowerBI
  • Must have experience owning and managing all areas of capital projects and budgets
  • High degree of comfort working with large amounts of data from multiple sources
