The Office of Admissions is a vital contributor to the enrollment success at the University of North Texas through student outreach, recruitment endeavors, and a commitment to providing personalized assistance to students throughout the college application and admissions process.

Position Overview
The office of Admissions at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Senior Admissions Processor-Undergraduate for the recruitment of prospective students, under the direction of the Admissions Processing Supervisor. This position is responsible for varied higher level administrative support, but still routine in nature. Duties may include data entry, record keeping, auditing transactions, time entry, scanning/imaging, and handling established, basic correspondence.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from High School or GED equivalent and three years of general office or clerical experience. Substitution of education for experience allowed.



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skill in telephone etiquette and courteous communication with public, verbally and in writing.
  • Skill in evaluating facts or situation to route calls/customers appropriately.
  • Basic MS Office skills
  • Skill in the operation of a variety of office machines including, personal computers, telephones and copiers.
  • Skill in filing and recordkeeping.
  • Skill in English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
  • Skill in basic math.
  • Knowledge of standard office policies and procedures.


Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a college/university setting.
  • Experience in data entry and ten key.
  • Detail oriented and organized.
  • Ability to work independently and work well with a team.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines with a “can do” attitude.
  • Experience in PeopleSoft and Microsoft Office.
  • Availability to work extended hours during registration periods as required.

Job Duties

o
Process all documents in Loose Doc alpha queues in Perceptive Content Workflow. Complete checklist items as appropriate and initiate items that need to be submitted. Verify and review all international test scores and documents in EIS. Determine if English language proficiency requirement is met, if so, complete on checklist.

o
Process transcripts in the ICT High School and College queues in Perceptive Content Workflow. Verify school, student, and educational information is correct on e-form and matches information on the transcript. Report all ICT errors to the appropriate team via e-mail or redirect to exception review queue.

o
Link admissions documents (letter of enrollment, test scores, letters of recommendation, essays, etc.) in Perceptive Content. Ensure all documents are linked to the correct applicant, have the correct index values, and are routed to the appropriate queue.

o
Process official and unofficial international transcripts by adding the appropriate panels in EIS Education, updating the checklist with needed information.

o
Monitor complete list to identify any files that have become complete but have had no admissions decision set. Route student file to appropriate next step.

o
Answer general questions concerning undergraduate admissions policies, procedures, and practices.

o
Print acceptance letters and mailing labels ensure admit packets are mailed to
the correct student and have the correct information.

o
Download and save transcripts from Parchment, Scribbles and Clearinghouse.
