The Senior Accountant assist with preparation of monthly and annual financial reports; prepares work papers supporting analysis and as documentation of journal entries; analyzes accounts, financial reports, and other financial documents assists with preparation of budgets; prepares fixed asset and other operational journal entries, and work with the Director of Asset Management of fleet, facility, and other asset management reporting and analysis
Essential Functions
Prepares journal entries.
Reviews and codes accounts payable items as assigned. This will include direct client expenses as well as operational expenses.
Reviews and codes staff reimbursement requests and company credit card transactions.
Prepares Excel worksheets, reports, pivot tables, and graphs.
Prepares reports and reconciliations for state reporting.
Prepares account reconciliations.
Reviews and analyzes monthly and annual financial statements. This includes reviewing general ledgers for assigned programs and working up any adjustments necessary as well as an overview of the income statement.
Prepares work papers for contract and grant reporting as well as state audit team.
Prepares work papers and provide documentation for the outside auditing firm as requested.
Prepares or assists in preparing financial reports and projects as requested by the Director of Contract Services, Vice President of Financial Services, CFO, and/or Program Directors and Vice President.
Participates as a member of the team. Communicates, cooperates, collaborates, and coordinates with others, as necessary.
Collaborates with all departments and works cooperatively to provide services in an efficient manner within department and between departments.
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of sensitive and privileged information.

Reports unusual incidents through appropriate Risk Management, clinical and safety channels.
Ensures clients’ rights are protected.
Is knowledgeable of and follows all safety procedures.
Minimum Job Requirements
Must be 21 years of age.
Must pass a Centralized Background Check, Texas Health and Human Services Eligibility, MVR, drug screen and any background checks deemed to be necessary
Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
Must have valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
Minimum Work Experience
5 years

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $46,862.00 - $71,000.00 per year
