Description:Position Purpose:
This position is responsible for various duties within the Business Office related to the Accounts Payable and Revenue cycles.
In addition to demonstrating the company’s Core Competencies applicable to all positions, the Accountant is responsible for the following Professional Skills Competencies:
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS/KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Other duties and projects will be assigned, as necessary.)
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger
o Complete monthly general ledger close in a timely and accurate manner
o Reconcile balance sheet accounts including bank accounts on a monthly basis
o Reconcile insurance benefits billings to payroll withholdings
Vendor payments
o Process weekly/bi-weekly vendor payments
o Review and record credit card transactions
o Manage vendor relationships
Restricted funds compliance (PSA and NAFS)
o Ensure monthly funds are distributed to clients in compliance with their budgets.
o Reconcile client accounts on a monthly basis in compliance with DMH standards.
Vendor Management
o Maintain and monitor all vendor contracts to ensure they are up-to-date and meet company needs.
o Manage subleases for our clients in the Residential homes.
o Manage utility relationships for our Residential and Crisis homes.
Contract Management
o Prepare Letters of Intent and contracts for new revenue relationships.
o Manage and prepare annual school and transportation contract renewals in a timely and accurate manner.
- Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guideline/regulations.
- Prepare reports for directors and other superiors monthly, or as requested.
- Coordinates with accounting counterparts as needed in any area of the Business Office.
- Plan and prioritize workflow to ensure all timelines are met.
- Identifies and manages initial client concerns and escalates to Controller, if required.

Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (Education, experience, training and specific skills to fulfill the primary responsibilities and duties of the job):
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent.
- 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Familiarity and basic understanding of financial transactions.
- Adept at problem solving and implementation of solutions.
- Must have the ability to apply principles of logic to problems at hand.
- Must have highly developed communication skills.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
- Must display a professional appearance.
- Must be able to safely perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to sit for extended periods.

- CEO, CFO, and COO to provide input on strategic decisions for the Program and to report on program progress, problems and solutions.

- National organizations, constituent organizations, potential customers to represent KCBHH, engage in discussion to further the business.

Position operates independently on a day to day basis, with limited direction; confers with manager on major decisions relating to change in scope or contractual obligations of projects.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
