We are looking for a Senior Accountant (Remote) who lives in the Atlanta, GA area to join our team in the growth of its supply chain people solutions business. Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, reconciling, and entering transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trail balance, and reconciling entries.
• Prepares financial analyses and reports.
• Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Participates in external audit by analyzing and creating schedules for general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
• Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
• Contributing to the development of new and amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
• Secures financial information by ensuring data, schedules and reports saved appropriately within electronic filing system.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Work to improve accounting processes.
• Performing other accounting duties and supporting staff as required or assigned.
• Ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited academic institution.

· A minimum of 3 years Accounting experience in a medium to large size company.

· A solid foundation in accounting theory and GAAP accounting standards.

· Proficiency in ERP accounting systems. Experience with Great Plains / Microsoft Dynamics is a huge plus.

· Strong financial analysis skill

· Advanced Excel and Word proficiency

· Proactive individual with high level energy, self-direction and motivation.
